At the bottom of your PSAI Weather Map is a button that says "Hide Layers." This button allows you to adjust your preferences for the display of hail and wind swaths on the map. (These swaths are the "layers," as they are laid on top of the map to show you exactly where storm damage has occurred.)
Clicking the "Hide Layers" button reveals a pop-up panel with three sliders, as shown below.
Slider #1: Adjust Opacity of Swaths
The first slider allows you to make the hail and wind swaths more or less opaque. Simply move the slider up or down to change their visibility according to your preferences.
Another way to change the relative appearance of storm swaths is by clicking "Map" in the lower left corner. This will switch the map view to the typical map view you'd use on Google Maps.
Slider #2: Change Hail Size Parameters
The second slider is for hail, allowing you to adjust the size of hailstones within a range of .5 inches to 3+ inches.
Slider #3: Change Wind Speed Parameters
The final slider is for wind and allows you adjust the wind swaths shown on the map within a range of 40 mph to 75+ mph.
Adjusting these three sliders within the "Hide Layers" button will help you narrow down the areas that you want to target when you launch a storm campaign. There's no right or wrong setting for hail and wind; it all comes down to your company's services and target market.
