The only reason that a Predictive Portrait will fail to calculate is in the event of mismatched homeowner data. In short, if the contact information you have in the Com Portal does not match records for that property, then we cannot calculate a Predictive Portrait.
You will be shown an error message like the one below.
Why Matches May Fail
PSAI's predictive technology has a three-step matching system:
- First, PSAI tries to match the homeowner's first and last name with records of the property address.
- If the first match is not found, then PSAI will attempt to match the homeowner's first name only with the property address. (This can find a match in the event that the homeowner has changed their last name.)
- If the first two matches are not found, then PSAI will lastly attempt to match the homeowner's last name only. (This is to ensure that we pull an accurate portrait for someone in the household.)
If all three data matches fail, then we will not calculate the Predictive Portrait because the data would be inaccurate, and we are not willing to provide inaccurate information to you.
Note that the above only applies if you are able to click to calculate the portrait but then receive the red error message displayed above. If the "Calculate Predictive Portrait" button is completely missing from your view of the Com Portal, then the problem is that you do not have access to predictive technology.
In that case, please speak with your PSAI administrator about updating your user permissions.
