No. For your Facebook ad campaign to be most successful, we strongly recommend that you combine storms occurring on the same date into a single storm campaign.
You can draw multiple polygons on your Weather Map, so combining multiple storms into one campaign does not mean that you'll be forced to target a huge geographic area.
Best Practice: Combine Same-Date Storms into One Storm Campaign
While the PSAI Weather Map is precise and allows for targeting down to the individual home level, Facebook ad campaigns do better when they have a larger target audience. Our tool uses AI technology to find the best placement and presentation for your Facebook ads—and to do that, the more Facebook user data it has to "learn" from, the better.
Combining multiple storms into a single campaign will expand your Facebook ad reach and give you better traction, but it will also make it easier for you to monitor and manage your storm campaigns. Instead of having to click into many different campaigns, all storms from the same date will be located in one campaign.
You can easily manage your storm campaigns and view associated leadings by clicking into your Weather Center as shown below.
How to Draw Multiple Polygons on the Weather Map
By drawing more than one polygon on your Weather Map, you'll be able to precisely target multiple geographic areas while still keeping them within the same Facebook ad campaign.
The GIF below shows how to draw multiple polygons.
As you can see, the steps to drawing multiple shapes are:
- Draw the first shape by clicking your points on the map.
- Move your cursor to the button for "Next Shape." (Don't worry if the shape appears to be coming with your cursor; when you click "Next Shape," your first shape will auto-complete if it is not completed already.)
- Draw your next shapes, as many as you want, by following the first two steps.
- When you've drawn all of your shapes, click the button for "Done Drawing." This will automatically take you to the next step of your storm campaign: generating your homeowner list, as shown below.
Whether you draw a single shape or multiple shapes, your total square footage must be below 10,000 square miles. This is due to the sheer amount of data being collected and summarized for you per home. If you receive an error, try redrawing your shape or shapes to be smaller.
