In Ads Manager, the "Paused" status is shown in a black tag.
An ad assigned to the "Paused" status can mean one of two things:
- It's under review by Facebook.
- It's been paused in Facebook.
Under Review by Facebook
Most ads will go through Facebook's automated review process and post within about 30 minutes of you hitting the "launch" button in PSAI. If for some reason an ad does not pass the first review, then it may require an additional review by Facebook moderators. This process may take up to a day.
During this time, your ad will be marked as paused in Ads Manager.
If your ad is showing paused for more than about 24 hours, please contact PSAI Support so that we can assist you. Fill out a Support ticket at this link, or open the Help widget in the bottom right corner of your screen.
Paused in Facebook
After an ad launches, you'll have limited editing options available in PSAI, but you can edit the campaign directly from Facebook, if you want to. If you go into Facebook and pause the ad campaign there, then the ad status will be reflected as "paused" here in Ads Manager as well.
Please note that "pausing" your ad campaign in Facebook is the only change that will be reflected here in PSAI. If you change the ad's duration, wording, or budget, then these changes will not be reflected from Ads Manager.
