How to Add a Contact and Ad Account Contact on Facebook [Verified Email Address]

To set up an ad campaign, Facebook requires a valid email address associated with both your Facebook account and your Facebook ad account. (If you do not have one or both of these, you will receive a "content isn't available" Facebook error.) 

Check whether you have these contacts, and add them if you don't, by following the instructions below.

Only older Facebook accounts can experience this issue; newer accounts made within the last several years require email verification by default.

1. Log into Facebook

Log into your personal Facebook account.

2.  Go to Settings

Click the arrow in the upper right, then click Settings & privacy, and then click Settings.

3. Check the Contact and Ad Account Contact

On your General Account Settings page, look for two fields:

4. Check and Add a Contact

If you do not already have an email address in the Contact field (for example, you have a phone number instead), add one by clicking Edit.

After you've added your email address, check your email and click the link from Facebook to verify the address.

Until you do so, this field will say Pending Email, as shown in the image below. Please note that you will not be able to proceed as long as this screen shows pending.

You must verify your email address before you can move to the next step.

5. Check and Add the Ad Account Contact

Once you have verified your email address in the Contact field, add the same email address to the Ad account contact field by clicking Edit.

With your verified email address as the ad account contact, you should be able to proceed with the remaining steps to successfully launch your storm campaign.

 

 


If you've completed the steps above but the process was not successful, you may receive another error from Facebook, such as the one below.

If you have verified your email address and are still receiving an error like this when you attempt to change your ad account contact, wait a few minutes and then try again. If the error persists, please submit a support ticket for assistance
